Criminal-record certificate
It shows whether the Central Criminal Register has a record, or not, on the day it is issued. Request it on the Ministry of Justice e-office. It does not allow you to work with children: that requires the sexual-offences certificate.

Who it is for
The person concerned, or someone representing them. Online you need Cl@ve. The fee is paid through the tax agency’s gateway.

The e-office offers online filing. The ordinary certificate is, as a rule, issued at once. If it cannot be, the administration’s deadline is ten working days. If your nationality is that of an EU state and that country must be consulted, the maximum period the e-office publishes is 30 calendar days.

Pay the fee
The ministry notices, since 1 January 2022, show €3.86 for criminal records, last wills and death-cover insurance contracts. On paper, the form is 790-006, not the nationality form 790-026. Confirm the amount on the payment gateway.
