Unemployment benefit
SEPE’s contributory benefit requires, on the e-office, at least 360 days of unemployment contributions in the previous six years. The official sheet asks you to apply within fifteen working days of the end of the job, among other cases.

Who it is for
Someone who is legally unemployed, registered as a jobseeker, and meets the contribution rule. In Ceuta and Melilla registration is with SEPE; elsewhere, with the regional employment service.

Register as a jobseeker
The sheet and the e-office require it before or when you apply. The jobseeker guide is next to this one.

Apply within 15 working days
The SEPE sheet counts fifteen working days from involuntary end of the job, from the end of unused holiday, from suspension or reduction of hours, from return from abroad or from release from prison, depending on the case.

You can do it online
You need a certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve. To sign with Cl@ve, SEPE requires advanced level. There is also an in-person appointment. The phone the FAQ itself publishes for the appointment is 91 926 79 70.
